From my " A Tumbleweed's Cosmic Love Affair" lino prints from last year. I have it an array of colors and I know I already posted a gold one, but I like this one better. It was a horrible design idea for a print too. I saw an actual tumbleweed for the first time only a month ago and it's timing was eerie. Since then, I've seen many but always at a candid moment- too weird.
This is supposed to be corny and is probably only good if I read it to you in a hic accent, but the print and it go hand in hand:
Lonely, lost dead branches and rough foliage- we was stumblin' fumbleweeds. Just about ready to be crushed under the merciful boot of any willin' stranger- to find peace and final rest as dirt.
But then you an me, we blew inta the same town! Banjo music and foot stompin' set you an' me a dancin' in the air. Was a humble tumbleweeds courtin' dance.
Then me and you, we got ourselves all in a tizzy! Interlockin' twiggy arms, intertwinin' stringy legs- so much that your hand became indistingushable from my own. Our veins flowed inta each other's- we as one now. I hope we keep on rollin' in our never-endin' ticklefight. Ride drafts up into the clouds and sky so purdy, play alongside stars and have a cosmic love affair.
To be apart- that's like severin' limbs.. I trust the ghost pains'd be too much to take. Why, just the thought of it is to drown us both in our own salt water! We're too tangled now..

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
